I got the bags last fall and love them. Only one thing I don't care for on them. The locks break really easy then they are just over $ 30 each then if you don't get both locks you have do deal with two different keys. I would love it if they could come out with locks that more heavy duty. The bags themselves are great and don't leak a bit. They are a snap to take off and on. I can't even begin to remember how many people have said that they like the bags. Besides you don't have relocate your turn signals.

I am not a big fan of the locks. However, isn't that what insurance is for??? Besides the downfall of the locks, these bags are excellent.

Unbelieveably, I ordered these on Sunday and they arrived on Wednesday. Meancycles really turns the orders around. Today, Sunday (3/11/07), I put them on the bike and I think they look great. And, they are a lot easier to use than the River Road bags I had.

Installed the bags a few weeks ago, WOW! they work well on my Honda VT 1100 ace. Installation was 20 mins. I have gone through several heavy rain storms with contents staying completely dry. I looked around at many companies and found meancycles gave the best price. Customer service was A+++, it was the best service I've had with any motorcycle store. good folks!
I'm happy.

The bags are very worth the price, the mounting bolts are a little short if you have a back rest installed but there is plenty of shoulder to allow drilling the brackets a little deeper to get the bolts to fit.
I am able to get my jacket and chaps into a single bag so they have quite a bit of room.
They fit nicely around the factory lights and are easy to remove to get at the wheels.

Note that the silver polished bolts that come with the mounting kit are too short if you have a back rest as the brackets for the backrest add about 1MM distance between the fender rail and the fender. The bolts can not be found at Home Depot or even a Honda Motorcycle dealer. I had to quibble a little with National Cycle and they did send me longer bolts but they were plain black. But other than that, the bags are easy to mount (once you have the right bolts!) And fit and look great!

Very well worth the money! A good looking hard bag that after quite a bit of riding and use is holding up just like the day it was installed. The mounting brackets are easy to put on and also allows you to remove the hard bags quickly with just a quarter turn of the D ring on the inside. The hinges and lockable latches are still working great!
And with Meancycles, JC and company, you can"t go wrong!
